Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

These terms govern the MarginClean platform subscription. MarginClean does not provide legal advice about your cleaning business, end-customer contracts, privacy notice, messaging consent, or payment obligations. Obtain appropriate professional advice for your operations and location.

1. Agreement and authority

These Terms of Service are an agreement between MarginClean (“MarginClean,” “we,” or “us”) and the person or business purchasing or using the service (“Client” or “you”). By accepting these terms or paying for the service, you confirm that you have authority to bind the Client. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the service.

2. The service and managed setup

MarginClean configures and hosts a branded residential-cleaning estimate and service-request site. Current features include configured pricing, ZIP-code gating, preferred-date requests, Stripe card authorization, customer and owner emails, an invite-only owner dashboard, status updates, optional webhook delivery, optional consent-based unfinished-request recovery, and an owner-initiated post-service charge.

Managed setup includes reviewing the submitted intake, configuring the site, connecting supplied credentials, and preparing an initial deployment. The 48-hour delivery window begins after successful payment and after we receive complete, usable business information, pricing, branding, credentials, and access needed for deployment. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver within that window. Missing or inaccurate information, Client response time, DNS changes, third-party reviews, or provider outages may delay delivery.

3. Service requests are not automatically confirmed

An end customer selects a preferred date and arrival window and submits a request. Submission does not guarantee availability or create a confirmed cleaning appointment. Client must review and confirm, adjust outside the platform, or cancel the request.

The booking flow authorizes a card for later off-session use but does not charge it at submission. After Client confirms and completes the cleaning, an authenticated owner can manually initiate the configured charge. Off-session payments may decline or require the customer to authenticate. MarginClean does not guarantee payment or collection.

Client, not MarginClean, provides the cleaning service and is responsible for scheduling, fulfillment, price changes, taxes, receipts, cancellations, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and customer support related to that service.

An unfinished-request recovery email, if enabled and separately accepted by the end customer, only restores the information entered so far. It does not reserve a date, confirm availability, preserve an earlier price, authorize a card, or create a service request. Pricing and request details are validated again when the flow resumes.

4. Plans, fees, and authorization

  • Launch Plan: $199 per month, charged beginning at sign-up, with no separate setup fee and a 3-month minimum commitment. This means at least 3 monthly billing periods.
  • Setup Plan: a one-time $499 setup fee plus $129 per month, both beginning at sign-up. The current Setup Plan has no minimum number of monthly billing periods.
  • Monthly fees cover the hosted service, routine maintenance, and support described for the selected plan. Work outside that scope requires separate written agreement.
  • Stripe processes platform billing. By providing a payment method, you authorize the charges shown at checkout and recurring monthly charges until cancellation takes effect.

Current prices and plan terms are shown at checkout before payment. If checkout and this page conflict, contact us before purchasing; do not rely on an obvious pricing or technical error.

5. Cancellation and service end

Submit a cancellation request to hello@marginclean.com. We will confirm the effective date.

  • Launch Plan cancellation cannot take effect before the end of the 3th paid monthly billing period. After that minimum, cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid billing period.
  • Setup Plan cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid monthly billing period.
  • Unless required by law or agreed in writing, cancellation does not create a prorated refund or credit for unused time.

Access, hosting, dashboard functionality, and active integrations may stop when the paid service period ends. Client should export information it is entitled to retain before that date. The service does not currently provide an automated full-site or source-code transfer.

6. Refund boundaries

The one-time Setup Plan fee becomes non-refundable once managed setup work begins. Monthly subscription fees and completed billing periods are non-refundable and are not prorated, except where applicable law requires otherwise or MarginClean agrees otherwise in writing.

MarginClean platform-fee questions should be sent to us. End-customer cleaning charges, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks are between Client and its customer and are handled through Client's Stripe account.

7. Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current business, pricing, service-area, branding, and account information.
  • Substantiate every license, insurance, bonding, guarantee, review, rating, testimonial, savings, and service claim.
  • Keep Stripe, Supabase, email, domain, webhook, and owner credentials secure and promptly report suspected compromise.
  • Review requests promptly and communicate appointment confirmation or cancellation to customers.
  • Charge a saved payment method only as disclosed to and authorized by the customer and only for a completed service under the request, unless another valid agreement applies.
  • Maintain appropriate privacy notices, data-retention practices, customer terms, refund rules, and legally required records.
  • Obtain any consent required for email or SMS marketing, maintain suppression lists across providers, and promptly honor unsubscribe, STOP, and similar opt-out requests.
  • Keep unfinished-request recovery settings and message text accurate, honor the built-in recovery suppression state, and not describe a recovery link as a confirmed appointment.
  • Use review requests without sentiment gating or selectively excluding customers because negative feedback is expected.
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and not attempt to access another tenant or interfere with the platform.

8. Third-party services and integrations

The service depends on providers such as Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Vercel, domain registrars, and any webhook or CRM selected by Client. Their services, terms, availability, security, and pricing are outside MarginClean's control. Client authorizes us to transmit information to configured providers as needed to operate the service.

9. Data and privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Client is responsible for its own relationship with end customers and for downstream systems it configures. Client must not submit information it lacks authority to process.

10. Ownership and permitted use

MarginClean and its licensors retain ownership of the platform, code, templates, and underlying systems. Client retains ownership of its business name, logo, and original content it supplies. Client grants MarginClean permission to host, format, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide the service.

The subscription gives Client a limited right to use the hosted service during the paid term. It does not transfer the source code, platform ownership, or rights to another client's data or configuration.

11. Availability and product limitations

We work to keep the service available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider outages, network failures, card declines, webhook failures, deliverability issues, or events outside our reasonable control may interrupt a feature. MarginClean is not a full crew-dispatch, route-optimization, payroll, tax, accounting, or legal-compliance system.

Recovery messages and links are time-limited and may be delayed, suppressed, filtered, or undelivered. MarginClean does not guarantee delivery, inbox placement, availability, the earlier estimate, or completion of an unfinished request.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” MarginClean disclaims implied warranties that can legally be disclaimed and is not responsible for Client's cleaning work, customer conduct, business claims, lost bookings, or third-party services.

To the extent permitted by law, MarginClean will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the service. MarginClean's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the platform fees Client paid during the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where they cannot legally apply.

13. Changes to the service or terms

We may update the service and these terms as operations change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice when required or appropriate for a material change. Changes will apply prospectively unless a different effective date is stated.

14. Contact

Questions, billing issues, and cancellation requests can be sent to hello@marginclean.com.
